Bio-Analytical Services + Building blocks for Organic Synthesis

Aquila Pharma Services was established in 2012 in Oslo Science Park, Norway, by Dr. philos. in Biological Mass Spectrometry, Gunnar Hagelin.

Drawing on more than three decades of experience from research in the pharmaceutical industry, Hagelin and APS offer selected building blocks and services for synthetic organic chemistry research and biochemistry.

The company started off by performing services like analytical LC-PDA/MS and Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) for companies with exploratory projects in cell biology, biochemistry and medicine.

Later on, building blocks for synthetic organic chemistry as well as customized services have been added by customer request.

About Gunnar Hagelin, Owner

Gunnar Hagelin (1951) is Dr. philos. in Biological Mass Spectrometry related to production, isolation and structure determination of a new family of lipopeptide lactone antibiotics (University of Oslo, 2007).

Before establishing Aquila Pharma Services in 2012, Dr. Hagelin was a Senior Research Scientist at Nycomed, Nycomed Amersham and GE Healthcare in Oslo from 1987-2012 in Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry at the Department of Exploratory Research for development of new contrast agents for Ultrasound, X-Ray and MR-Imaging.
